Cosmetech was co-founded in 2006 by Lena Gillespie and Mr Ashok Songra when a gap was identified in the market for non-surgical anti-ageing procedures. Cosmetech is a Consultant Surgeon-led clinic committed to providing the highest standards of medical excellence and patient care in non-surgical solutions and well-being.
Our Consultant Surgeons have a background in head, neck and reconstructive surgery, plastic surgery, vascular surgery and maxillofacial surgery. Their experience within the NHS and private sector includes managing facial trauma, facial deformity, cosmetic dermatology and scar revisions. Cosmetech’s Consultant Surgeons are fully experienced in providing an extensive range of cosmetic surgery procedures. Our Principle Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon specialises in head, neck and facial surgery, he is on the, which assesses safety and the ability of practitioners in administering anti-wrinkle injections for cosmetic purposes.

Mr Ashok Songra, previously a Consultant in head and neck reconstructive surgery and facial plastic Surgery at the Regional Plastic and Maxillofacial Unit, Ulster Hospital and Honorary Surgeon at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast.
Mr Songra pioneers new training standards and injection techniques for world leading aesthetic companies. He is on the Validator Panel of experts for the UK, which assesses safety standards and the ability of practitioners in administering anti-wrinkle injections for cosmetic purposes.
Cosmetech is Mr Ashok Songra’s private practice; the clinics specialise in non-surgical aesthetic procedures.

Mr Smith is both Medically and Dentally qualified, appearing on the Oral Surgery specialist list of the GDC as well as the Maxillofacial Surgery specialist list of the GMC.
Since completion of his Higher surgical training in 2000, Mr Smith has worked extensively within the UK, holding substantive Consultant posts at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and Blackburn Royal Infirmary. He is currently employed as Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Altnagelvin Area Hospital.
Throughout this time, as well as general Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he has developed special interests in the treatment of benign and malignant facial skin lesions along with the surgical treatment and reconstruction of malignant lesions of the mouth and jaws.
In addition to this he also has developed further special interests in the cosmetic and therapeutic use of Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers. Mr Smith consults on all conditions affecting the mouth and jaws, all aspects of Oral Surgery, facial trauma, facial pain, salivary gland disorders and the surgical treatment of benign and malignant facial skin lesions.

Mr. Chris Hoo MB BCh Ba(O) MD FRCS (Plast)
Mr Chris Hoo currently works as an Oncoplastic Breast and Reconstructive Surgeon in the Belfast City Hospital. He qualified from Queen’s University Belfast and completed his Plastic Surgery training in Northern Ireland with specialty fellowships in Newcastle and Liverpool.
Mr. Hoo sub-specialises in Breast Reconstruction and also offers a wide range of Plastic Surgery procedures though Cosmetech.
He is a keen educator, teaching on pre medical, under graduate and post graduate courses; and is an examiner for the QUB medical school. He is also active in medico-politics having previously represented the interests of and improving standards for medical professionals through bodies like the British Medical Association (BMA) as Chair of the Junior Doctors Committee in Northern Ireland and Association of Surgeons in Training.
He is a member of the British Association of Plastics, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).

Mr Andrew Diver has worked in Plastic Surgery for 17 years.
He trained in Belfast and completed a research post in London, fellowship training in Auckland and he has also worked as a locum consultant in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Mr Diver has extensive experience in all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery including facial aesthetics and is a full member of BAPRAS, the governing body for plastic surgery in the UK. Mr Diver has also been elected as a full member of IAPS, the governing body of plastic surgery in ROI.

Dr Lisa Neligan
Dr Lisa Neligan graduated from the University College Dublin Medical School in 2001. She gained extensive experience working with patients in A&E, before training to become an anaesthetist and then a GP with the Royal College of Surgeons Dublin in 2009.
Dr Neligan has worked as a GP in the NHS in Belfast ever since so you can be sure of excellent service with her wealth of experience.
She has experience in all aspects of Facial Aesthetics and a specialist interest in Women’s Health and family planning. She is also part of the Private GP service offered by Kingsbridge Private Hospital.

Mr Abid Rashid qualified in 1993. He has had extensive training in various plastic surgery units throughout Britain, including a fellowship in aesthetic surgery at the McIndoe Centre in East Grinsted (Extreme Makeover fame) and a fellowship in advanced microsurgery in Taiwan. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Aesthetic Surgery with a distinction from the Queen Mary University, London.
He has held posts as a Consultant since 2007 in the following hospitals:

Andrea qualified as a Dentist with a BA and BDent Sc from Trinity College Dublin in 2016. Since then she has spent time in general practice as well as 3 years of further core training in hospitals in London, Belfast and Derry. She has predominantly worked in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, which includes management of facial trauma and skin cancers. During this time she undertook membership examinations for the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland.
Andrea was trained in facial aesthetics by consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Mr Ged Smith and provides Anti-wrinkle Injections and Dermal Fillers.

Professor O’Donnell attended Medical School at the Queen’s University of Belfast in Northern Ireland between 1994 and 1999 where he graduated with distinction combined with the award of the Northern Ireland Medico-Legal Prize for Forensic Medicine. He undertook his surgical training as a Specialist Registrar on the Northern Ireland Surgical Training Rotation between 2006 and 2015. He has completed both a Masters in Medical Science and a Medical Doctorate in research where he has established a prolific research pedigree with over 100 publications in PubMed Indexed Peer-Reviewed journals and more than 250 international and national presentations combined with many prestigious awards including the Society of Vascular Surgery International Scholar Award, Society of Academic Surgery Research Prize and Belfast City Hospital Young Investigator of the Year.
Completion of a Vascular Surgery Fellowship and appointment as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the World-Renowned Mayo Clinic in the United States between 2012 and 2014 not only complemented his vascular surgery skills but facilitated endovascular proficiency in many minimally invasive treatments for complex arterial and venous disease. He passed the FRCS Exit Examination at first attempt in 2012 and was recently awarded first place in the European Board of Vascular Surgery Examination in 2015.
He is a regular surgical tutor at the Royal College of Surgeons England and and is Moderator of the Northern Ireland Higher Vascular Teaching Program.

Victoria graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2016 with BDS (Distinction). Since then she has completed dental core training years in Belfast and Derry. During this time, she undertook her membership examination for the Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow and achieved her Post graduate certificate in Clinical Education. Currently, Victoria is working as a Specialty Dentist in the Oral and Maxillofacial Unit at Altnagelvin Hospital.

Dr Patrick Campbell BSc (Hons) MB BCh BAO MRCS MRCOG
Dr Patrick Campbell is a consultant gynaecologist & subspecialist urogynaecologist and a leading pelvic floor specialist. He is the only consultant in Northern Ireland who can offer vaginal surgery, ‘key-hole’ surgery and non-surgical radiofrequency treatments to improve prolapse, urinary incontinence, vaginal laxity and sexual function after childbirth.

Dr Campbell graduated from The Queen’s University of Belfast in 2006. He trained in Northern Ireland for 10 years followed by 2 years subspecialty training in urogynaecology with Professor Stephen Radley in Sheffield. He was the second consultant in the UK to complete accredited training in both vaginal surgery and laparoscopic (key-hole) surgery for prolapse. He is a member of both the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists and The Royal College of Surgeons.
Dr Campbell has held committee positions with the International Urogynaecology Association and British Society of Urogynaecology. He is a Senior Member of the European Society of Aesthetic Gynaecology and the Treasurer of the Ulster Gynae Urology Society. He is regularly invited to speak at national and international conferences.

Dr Campbell is actively involved in research and is a lecturer at Queen’s University Belfast. He was the first gynaecologist in Northern Ireland to be offered an Academic Clinical Fellowship at Queen’s University and spent 2 years researching the use of Botox® in the treatment of overactive bladder. He has presented his research nationally and internationally and in 2018 he has published 3 important articles in peer-reviewed journals; a review article on vaginal mesh, a review article on vaginal laxity and the largest ever research study on vaginal laxity.
Dr Campbell has helped develop The Pelvic Health Clinic at Cosmetech, Northern Ireland’s first private multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals offering women a comprehensive range of treatment options for pelvic floor problems. Gillian Killiner BSc.(Hons), MSc
Gillian grew up and studied in London. In 1993, while studying for her BSc.(Hons) Food Science Degree in London, Gillian successfully secured a prestigious research post in Nutrition and Heart Disease with the World Health Organisation (WHO) in Belfast.
She qualified with a Masters Degree (MSc.) in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland 1997. Her specialist training was in The Charter Mark award winning Dietetic Department at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital, London. Her successful career spans throughout Hospitals in Northern Ireland, specialising in; Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Paediatrics, Cancer and laterly the Lead Specialist Dietitian for the Regional Haematology Unit at BCH.
Gillian is unique as she specializes in treating the person as a whole integrating gut, brain and cellular optimisation to ensure the body can restore and repair itself. Her own experience with an auto-immune condition after her 3rd pregnancy allowed her to understand what it is like to be a patient and how to overcome this.
Gillian’s programmes assist: resistant weight loss, diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune conditions, mental health issues, eating disorders, gut health imbalances, female health, child nutrition, sports optimisation to name a few.
Maria McGovern is a graduate of Yolanda Houston Micropigmentation school. Maria has over 13 years experience working alongside Yolanda, benefiting from her unique techniques. Together they are an ethical, experienced, professional team.
