Radiology Healthcare Assistant

Due to continued expansion and increased workload, Kingsbridge Medical Diagnostics are now seeking to recruit an additional Healthcare Assistant for their Radiology department. The role will be based primarily at Kingsbridge Private Hospital but will time to time require travel to other Kingsbridge sites.

Location Kingsbridge Private Hospital, 801 Lisburn Road, Belfast.
Salary £20,000 - £24,000 per annum
Department Radiology
Contract Full time, Permanent
Hours 40 per week, Monday-Sunday
Responsible to Deputy Radiology Manager
Accountable to Radiology Operations Manager

Job Summary

To actively participate in the provision of a high quality, effective and efficient Radiology Service. The post holder will ensure that high standards of service and care are maintained in accordance with the Company ethos and practice. The nature of the role may involve travel between all of the Kingsbridge Healthcare clinics, therefore applicants must have access to own transport.

  3. Ability to develop and maintain policy and procedure.
  4. Ability to motivate and initiate change in others.
  5. Ability and willingness to keep up to date of new developments within a growing industry.
  6. Ability to work in collaboration with other clinicians.
  7. Awareness of governance issues that reflect safe practice and reduction of any potential risks related to telephone advice.
  8. Adherence to privacy, confidentiality, informed consent and security policies.
  9. Ability to tailor communication to the patient needs.

Person Specification:

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • 2 years’ experience working within a care setting
  • Willingness to undertake training and development

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in the private healthcare sector
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
  • Working knowledge of RIS/PACS
  • Understanding of IRMER legislation
  • IV Cannulation

Special skills / abilities

Essential:

  • Excellent I.T. skills
  • Knowledge of current standards within the service
  • Reflective safe practice
  • Ethical use of information
  • Evidence of problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to be reflective, accept criticism and act constructively

Desirable:

  • Proficient at telephone assessment and advice
  • Policy and procedure development experience
  • Experience of audit, research and other quality initiatives
